Grand Shia Cleric: “Bahrain Rulers Saw Off the Branch They are Sitting On.”

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A top Shia cleric in Iran denounced Bahrain government crackdown of the people warning the rulers against continuation of crimes against the people.Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli, Iranian jurisprudent and Professor at Qom Seminary recommended Bahrain rulers to stop crimes against the nation since they are in fact sawing off the branch they are sitting on.Senior cleric said it is to the benefit of Bahrain rulers to stop oppressions and added, “If Bahrain rulers intend not to ruin their fame, they would better stop crimes and killing of the people because the more oppressive they are, the more possible their topple is.”He warned against the fall of Bahrain rulers and said oppression has never been to the benefit of anybody.Iranian religious figure said finding and following the right path is dependent on avoiding sins and oppressions.An interpreter of holy Qur’an said avoiding sins is the solution to problems be it avoiding oppression against one’s family, friends, religion, Islam or Shia Muslims.He said the common demand of all awakened nations in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Bahrain is avoiding oppression and maintaining justice./129
